Refurbishment and Energy Efficiency Improvement of the Building Annexed to the Gran Telescopio Canarias
The comprehensive refurbishment project of GRANTECAN has been selected by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through IDAE, to be part of the Energy Consumption Reduction Plan for the Public Administration.
The objective of this project is the refurbishment and energy efficiency improvement of the building annexed to the Gran Telescopio Canarias. With an eligible cost of 534,820.29 Euros and a co-financing rate ranging from 75% to 85%, depending on the availability of remaining budget, the set of measures implemented will enable the building to achieve a Nearly Zero-Energy Building (NZEB) certification. Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that this project was among the highest-rated proposals submitted under the call for applications.
The above-mentioned project is co-financed by the European Union through the 2021-2027 Multi-Regional ERDF Programme (European Regional Development Fund).
